Kiwi Can

Today we had Kiwi Can we played a real cool game. There were four cones each had a word on. There were two taggers. Everyone who wasn't a tagger started behind the cone with honesty. The rest were labeled Truth, Integrity and Caring. It was super fun and easy, Mr.Numia Would call out one of the words on the cone and whatever cone he told you to go to you have to try and get there without getting caught by the tagger. I was one of the taggers along with Dora, a girl in my class. If you were tagged you were to sit down on the side. The next round they chose new taggers. The new taggers were my friends Sam and Hemi.

When we were back in class we talked about what values and where to use them. After that we did the activity. We did roll play. I was in group 5 with Danny Joe, Levi, Mata and Mele. Each group were to make a play about the card they were given. Our group was given Friendship. While we were talking about what to do in the play Miss.Tui came by and gave us an idea of what we could do. So with that we added on to her idea. In the play I was the teacher and Danny Joe was the new kid. We also got a little help with the play from Mr.Numi . The rest are playing hacky sack when I introduce a new kid and they befriend him and let him play the game with them. After we did GKQ's which was a bit hard. All the the questions were super hard for everyone and were all connect with Mount Everest.

Kiwi Can with Mr.A

Thursday 11th August 2016

Today with Mr.A was kinda boring. But I still liked it. We did the same things as last week. But this time we played Limbo. He told to get into a group and one person goes to grab the hokey stick and hold it up while the rest of your group tries to bend over and get under the stick with out touching it. In my group was Me,Danny Joe,Hemi,Justin,Linda Kiki,Taki and Lio. We were pretty good I think.He told us to see how much people your group can get under the stick. 

Then he asked about what goal we would like to set. After that he asked what we would have to do to reach those goals. Next he handed us a piece of paper and told us to get into a group. It could as big as four people. In my group was Me,Hemi and Mafoa. He said whoever did not finish it had to come back and finish it again. Our didn't finish it in time so we have to go back at lunchtime. After that we did GKQ's. That was a little boring. After that we lined up outside this time and went to the court for fitness.

Kiwi Can

Thursday 4th August 2016

Today at Kiwi Can Mr. Numia and Miss. Tuia were not here today because they were having time off because of a death in their family. But instead of them we had another teacher but only one his name was Mr. A. He was a bit more strict then our usual teachers but he was equally cool. His real name was Mr. Afutoto but Mr. A was easier to say. At first he told us to sit on the mat behind the cones. 

Then we talked about what was the theme of the term. The theme was Resilience. The he asked about what was the topic. After the questions he would ask us to turn to the person next to you about what you think the answer is. Then he told us all to tell him the answer at once. The whole class called out Setting Goals.

After that he told us to put our hands up if we wanted to ask a question or say something and he didn't like people talking in  the middle of the session he told Danny Joe and Mateaki to sit between the girls so that they wouldn't talk. He said he did that because boys don't like talking to girls. First we played a game where you start off with one peg paged onto your clothes and you challenge other people for their pegs to get more. To win a peg from the other people you are to win one game of rock,paper scissors.

Next we talked about setting goals. He asked us about what a goal is. Then I put my hand up and said "Something you want to achieve." Then he told us what are some of our goals in school. Most of the people that answered up said that they would want to achieve the malathion standard. Later he asked if anyone played any sport. As he called out different sport names people put there hands up. The most hands up was when he said rugby. And then he said do you have any goals for rugby. Some people said stepping and passing. He said that if you wanted to achieve those goals you would have to what. Then one person answered up and said practice.

For the last activity we did the GKQ's. This time we did it twice since we had some left over time. But usually we play too games not just one. Because GKQ's are not a game. When we were finessed he said that he would do the points after we had left and would ask our teacher about what she thought about the lesson. Then we came back to the class room and blogged about it.

Kiwi Can

Today at Kiwi Can was pretty fun. Our class was just five points behind room 8 from winning the big prize that people win you behave good and earn points. First Miss.Tuia greeted us in a different language like she always does. But she changes it up every time we go their. This one was so hard that not even the teachers could figure out what language it was. After that we got into our energizer. It was cool because we played a game where one person from your team is chosen to hold the cone and the rest are to shut their eyes and try to throw the ball into the cone. But the person catching it is not allowed to move his\her legs only his hands. 

Before we left the class room we were split into three groups. I was in the third group. It was cool our team won the first round but the second round was won by group two. In was my brother Levi, Hemi and Moses two of my friends and Mele,Fusi and Linda Kiki. After the game we went back to class to talk about what a mistake is and how to deal with it and what are some of the consequences. 

Then we moved onto our activity. It was similar but this time we weer facing the other way and we were kicking it into a hoop. We were losing until Mr.Numia made the rule for us to spin around 10 times before we have our turn. After we did GKQ's and then counted up all the points. But sadly we didn't win room 8 had beaten us by 9 points but I don't know how even though they also got 25 points. Shouldn't it be the same, them 5 points ahead.

Kiwi Can

Thursday 16th June 2016

Today at Kiwi Can it was fun but a little bit boring. In the begging for the energizer we played a game out on the court. Mr. Numia told the class to chose a partner. My partner was my friend Hemi. Then Mr. Numia told us to chose which partner will be partner number 1 and which partner will be partner number 2. I chose to be partner number 1 while my friend Hemi was partner number 2. If you were partner number 2 you would have to make a circle with the other partners that were also partner number 2.

Then the partners that were partner 1 would have to go stand behind their partners. Then when Mr. Numia called out go right the first partner would have to run around the inner circle depending on the direction that was given. When the have ran around the inner circle they would have to stand behind their partner. Which ever group was last would be out. There was also one more rule if he calls out go under, you would have to go under the legs of your friends and again who ever was last would be out of the game.

After the game was over me and the rest of the students of Room 7 had to walk back to Room 11 where we continued Kiwi Can. The next game was called over take. The point of this was to over take the other team using the ball that your team had. My team had the basketball and I started off with the ball. He said every second person next to Lio a boy next to our class was in the soccer ball team.You were pass it to the second person next to you they were in your team. 

There team won five games to two. After the we did GKQ's. They started off with the four people on Mrs. Tuia Right. After that they did the points and then we went back to our class rom and blogged what we did at Kiwi Canb which is what I am doing this very second.

Today at Kiwi Can we learnt about integrity and reliability. For our energiser we were split into four groups and make up our own beat. He said the first person has to make a sound then the next and the next after that but not all at once. Mr Numia walked around the class pointing at us as he counted from 1234 over and over again.

Finally he stopped at Siosifa, him Mele,Justin,Aarmione,Joseph,me and Danny Joe. But Joseph and Siosifa soon had to leave for a reading test. Then Levi my brother came over and said that his whole group had to go for a test.He said could he join our group they said yes but I said no because he can be silly sometimes. Two minutes later Miss Tui came to us and showed a video on her phone. It was a video of another group from Glen Taylor.

Glen Taylor is just up the road from our school. The kids were singing a song but I couldn’t hear it because of the noise that the other kids from the other groups were making. But we thought it was too hard for our group to do. So Miss left to show another group incase they wanted to do it. Danny Joe said that we only had a little time left. Then Mele said that we should do Queen's song We Will Rock You.

But when the time was up and we had to present no one presented because they hadn’t done it yet or finished it yet. Before we went into the class Mr Mumia had gotten a ball from someone. Then he said that we were going to play a game called Big Bounce Hand Ball. Then he made us sit on the ground while he split us into two groups. We played Big Bounce Handball near the entrance of the corridor.

Then he split us into four groups and gave each group a number. My group was number three, Levi’s group was number 1, Brandon's 2 and Voni’s Four. Then Mr Numia Explained the rules to us. He said that each person has one his and has to quickly get out of the way of the other person. He also said that there are no Fool Carries and if you double bounce your out, if you touch it before it goes out, make it go out or if it bounces in your square and it goes out you're out. I was first, then it went to the next and the next until it was back to my group.

Later He turned us into two groups the two groups on the left became one and the two groups and the right became one. This time we used both squares instead of just one each. Each group used two squares. The first time we one. But the other two times we lost but on the last one we one because Brandon was the only one left.

The people that were out had to wait under the tree while the other play. But some watched them and said to the couch that he is cheating and is changing the rules to their advantage. After the game we went back into the class although some people like me wanted to keep playing. Then they did our points. But we got low points because some people like James,Levi,Mangila and some others were swearing at the coach and teachers.

At the end we got 21 points for our class. They said that Room 9 were catching up to us and fast. I think we're in the lead I hope.
