Today at Kiwi Sports we were with Ann the instructor. She told us about what we were going to do. She told us that we would be playing a game that would teach us how to keep our distants when we are defending some one. The game was called Shadow Follower. For this game you would need a partner. I was with a boy named Chris. One will have a imaginary ball in their hand and the other will be following you around. When they touch your shoulder with their hand you are to turn around and pretend you are trying to pass or shoot the ball. So that the other person can practice defending the ball and not your face.We didn't play Shadow follower fore that long because it was just to warm us up to do the other activities.

After that we played a game about intersecting and passing. You and your partner from Shadow Follower were to chose two other people to play the next game with. Two people would have the ball and the other two were to try and intersect the ball. The other two that me and Chris were playing with was my twin brother Levi and his partner Mafoa. Ann had told us not to move around but they did it anyway. She also said that you were not allowed to do over head passes.

The next activity was also about intersecting. This game didn't have a name. Four people would be in a square. And one person in the middle. There would be two people on the side. One calling out were to go to get the ball and the other trying to intercept the ball. There were four spots for us to stand on and pass the ball to the person running around. Once the person in the middle was ready we added the defender. I didn't like that game very much because the people would just keep throwing the ball at you when you were not looking at them.

At the end we played another game to do with shooting. We were split into two groups. In my group there were all boys, the was Hemi, Taki, Levi G, Lio, Miami, Chris, Moses, Levi, Levi R, Danny Joe, Dasharn and I think some other people. This game I liked. The two groups would stand on a line near the middle of the court. Then miss would give us all a number. When she called your number you were to run and get one of the two balls in the middle of the hola hoop in the middle of the two groups. Once you have the ball you give the ball to the first person in line, then they have to pass it to the entire team. While they are doing that you are to go to the goal and wait for them to be finished and shoot the ball in. If you get it in straight away that is two points if you get it in on the second time you get one point. After that we went back to class and blogged about this which is what I am doing now.

Netball Kiwi Sport

Today at Kiwi Sport a lady named Anne who taught us how to pivot in mid air. First we practiced of privets in mid air by playing at little warm up game. When the game started she told us the rules. She would call out hi five and then me and the rest of my class would run across to their partner hi five them in the middle of the court and then pivot around and run back to their original spot. If she called low five you would hi five your partner down low then run back.

After that we were warmed up and ready to play. After that she split us up into three groups. There were seven people in each group and in my group was me,Dora,Hemi,Justin,Maara,Luisa and Alfred. We were spreed down the court and I was at the top next to the netball. Now we were playing a passing game to practice our passing. At first my group was winning until she told us that we had to run three steps before the other person could pass to you and they added on pivoting.

After that we played another game she called Rugby Netball. This was our last game for the day. It was very fun. The idea of the game was like netball but you could go anywhere and if you wanted to get a goal you had to put the ball down on the in front of the line she had drawn earlier. My team had Me, Fusi, Dasharn, Lio,Levi.G, Luisa, Maara, Dora and some other kids. It was up to ten and we were wining. When she chose the team I knew we were going to win.

We are learning what plants need to survive

We are learning how plants respond to environmental changes.

What do plants need to survive?

Water

Sun

Soil/ fertilizer/ dirt

Oxygen

Carbon dioxide

We are going to conduct a science investigation to determine   what will happen to plants when their environment changes. In this assignment we will be changing the environment of each of the mint plants and the potatoes.

What will we need to make this a fair investigation?

• Lots of plants in case one fails
• Make sure they all get the same amount of sun
• Make sure they still have the other things they need to survive
• Monitor progress every few days - with pictures
• Have a “control” plant, that we do all the right things to.

Method:

• Suffocate a plant - by putting it in a container
• Stop watering a plant
• Take out the soil
• Put in the dark
• Normal plant - the control

Hypothesis: It might stay alive.

The plant I will be observing is: Mint plant.

Potato Experment

Today in class were are going to be doing an experiment including potato's. we are going to see if it grows normally with light, not at all with no light or grow towards the light.

Superman's Fortress of Solitude

Monday 11th April 2016

On the old movie of superman he made his Fortress of Solitude by throwing a piece of kryptonite from his shuttle to earth, to the arctic. Inside there are sunstones that he can put into the Fortress of Solitude to see messages from his father Jor-el and his mother Lara. There's also a place in the Fortress of Solitude where he can give his powers away to be human. On the old superman movie he gave way his powers for a little while be human and stay with lois lane, but he had to get them back to face General Zod, Non and Ursa.

The Fortress is also a place for him to get away from crime fighting and relax. But on Superman Returns it does not show him in the Fortress of Solitude for long is shows him floating above earth waiting to fight crime and save people. In the modern Fortress of Solitude there is a key called the Steel Key that superman uses to get inside the Fortress and keep people out.

The largest room in the Fortress of Solitude is superman's trophy room Superman’s trophy room is full of things from his past adventures. Like the Duplication Gun, the same one that helped people from krypton create bizarro version of them selves to take over krypton. That is why Genral Zod was in-poisoned him create the opposite Superman known as Bizarro. His collection even includes the gun that Brainiac once used to shrink entire cities.

One other thing in superman’s fortress of solitude is the shrunken city of Kandor and the Phantom Zone Projector. The small city of Kandor was once the capital of Krypton. But Brainiac a superhero turned bad, shrunk it to add to his collection. Kandor is one of superman’s most prize possessions in his fortress of solitude. In the superman comics there are different types of fortresses of solitude. Some are found in different places and look different too.

Superman’s fortress of solitude is constructed out of Kryptonian crystalline material known a sunstone. On Superman Returns Lex Luther combined's sunstone and Kryptonite to form an island made out of kryptonite that would eventually turn into to a contray of Kryptonite.

Recount about Ripper Rugby

Tuesday 15th March 2016

Today we had Ripper Rugby but I was late so I didn't get to play much. Mrs.Tofa told me to get a belt and attach the tags to the belt and start playing Ripper Rugby. I had to run and try not to get my tags ripped off my belt by the other team. Later when I was running I got my tags ripped off my belt by one of the players from the other team.

His name was Levi.G my whole class calls him that because there is another Levi, nicknamed Levi.R. After the game was over he kindly asked us if we could fold the belts back up for the other class that he was going to play with.
