Today we had Kiwi sports and was really really fun at the end when we had the games. As always the coach Antonio or Toni told us to grab a partner to practice the first activity with. My partner was Levi.R. In this activity we had to dig to each other while moving down the line that was fun also. After that we needed another pair to add on to the activity. We were with Mafoa and Mateaki. Two people will pass the ball to them then they dig it and swap places.
Later we departed from the and went back too two people. It was fun because we were doing our spikes. I don't think Levi.R had fun because when I threw it up to him I always did it wrong. Later we went into a line while the coach gave us the number of our team. I was in group 2 and so was Levi.G,Alfred and Mrs. Tofa. We were going against team 1 then team 2. When won both matches and then went back to class.

Kiwi Can with Mr.A
Thursday 11th August 2016
Today with Mr.A was kinda boring. But I still liked it. We did the same things as last week. But this time we played Limbo. He told to get into a group and one person goes to grab the hokey stick and hold it up while the rest of your group tries to bend over and get under the stick with out touching it. In my group was Me,Danny Joe,Hemi,Justin,Linda Kiki,Taki and Lio. We were pretty good I think.He told us to see how much people your group can get under the stick.
Then he asked about what goal we would like to set. After that he asked what we would have to do to reach those goals. Next he handed us a piece of paper and told us to get into a group. It could as big as four people. In my group was Me,Hemi and Mafoa. He said whoever did not finish it had to come back and finish it again. Our didn't finish it in time so we have to go back at lunchtime. After that we did GKQ's. That was a little boring. After that we lined up outside this time and went to the court for fitness.

Today Kiwi Sport was really fun. When we got there all the nets were set up but the coach was down in the juniors for some reason. First she told us to find a partner and practice hitting it up to ourselves so when can catch the ball. My partner was Mateaki. It was kinda annoying having to run back and forth to get the ball. Because me and Mateaki were hitting it over to each other.
The second activity was like a practice round for a small competition we were going to have with each other. We were going to practice our serving by standing behind the line and serving ball over the net to your partner. Then your partner will do the same. For the game we would have to do it successfully 20 times to win a prize. The prize were lollipops. My brother Levi and a boy named Alfred won the prize.
Next we were to stand in a line on the other side of the court to find out what team we were going to go in. I,Levi,Mafoa and Maara were all in team six. The first team we had to face was team five. In team five was Danny Joe, Miami, Moses and Hemi. At first we didn't do very well because we weren't working as a team. But with the second team we were way better. The second team we challenged was team one. Team one had the coach, Mele, Dora and Mateaki. The were really fun to beat. The last team we challenged was team three with Justin,Alfred, Linda Kiki and Levi.G. It wasn't as fun because we didn't get to challenge them for long because the other class came and we had to finish the game and put the balls in the bag.

Kiwi Can
Thursday 4th August 2016
Today at Kiwi Can Mr. Numia and Miss. Tuia were not here today because they were having time off because of a death in their family. But instead of them we had another teacher but only one his name was Mr. A. He was a bit more strict then our usual teachers but he was equally cool. His real name was Mr. Afutoto but Mr. A was easier to say. At first he told us to sit on the mat behind the cones.
Then we talked about what was the theme of the term. The theme was Resilience. The he asked about what was the topic. After the questions he would ask us to turn to the person next to you about what you think the answer is. Then he told us all to tell him the answer at once. The whole class called out Setting Goals.
After that he told us to put our hands up if we wanted to ask a question or say something and he didn't like people talking in the middle of the session he told Danny Joe and Mateaki to sit between the girls so that they wouldn't talk. He said he did that because boys don't like talking to girls. First we played a game where you start off with one peg paged onto your clothes and you challenge other people for their pegs to get more. To win a peg from the other people you are to win one game of rock,paper scissors.
Next we talked about setting goals. He asked us about what a goal is. Then I put my hand up and said "Something you want to achieve." Then he told us what are some of our goals in school. Most of the people that answered up said that they would want to achieve the malathion standard. Later he asked if anyone played any sport. As he called out different sport names people put there hands up. The most hands up was when he said rugby. And then he said do you have any goals for rugby. Some people said stepping and passing. He said that if you wanted to achieve those goals you would have to what. Then one person answered up and said practice.
For the last activity we did the GKQ's. This time we did it twice since we had some left over time. But usually we play too games not just one. Because GKQ's are not a game. When we were finessed he said that he would do the points after we had left and would ask our teacher about what she thought about the lesson. Then we came back to the class room and blogged about it.

Kiwi Sports Volleyball

Today for Kiwi Sports Room 7 had volleyball person teaching it to us was called Antonio. Even though she was a girl. But instead of saying Antonia she said that we were allowed to call her Toni. For the first activity she told us to grab a partner then practice your Dig. Then she asked us who in the class was left handed. I and only a bit of other students were right handed. She said that if you were left handed you are to put your right hand on the bottom and your left hand on the top.
My partner was Chris. It was kinda fun but we kept hitting the ball away. After we were finished with that we were to team up with one other pair and practice sets with your team then hit it over the net. There was not enough pairs left for me and Chris so we had to switch with Luisa and Amelia after they lost but if they won we would have to switch with Fusi and Mata.
Later when we had finished that we learnt how to spike but this time we did not have our partners we were not in a team. I was in team one. Levi.R, Amelia, Courtney, Dallas, Miami and Me was in the same team. It was really fun but unfortunately we didn't win any game and never got to verse team 4. When we had finished she told us to put all the balls in the bag. Next she told us that we needed to be more focus and stop hitting the balls away because we would of had more time for the game.

Science Experiment Room 7 2#

Today for the science experiment we needed a jar, some scissors and balloon plus a some sugar. First cut the bottom part of the balloon and keep the top of the balloon. Then put the top of the balloon on the top of the jar after taking the lid off. Make sure that the jar is small enough so that the top of the balloon can fit. Second make sure that the top of the balloon sounds like a drum on the top of the jar.
Third put a little bit of sugar on the top of the jar. Lastly hum and see the sugar move. Miss stone wanted us to do this to prove that sound moves in vibrations. But before all that she told us that we had be in a group of three. In my group was Me, Justin and Alfred.
Now Miss Stone has just shown us a video and it they put out a flame by putting a specific sound through the speakers to make the flame go out.

Room 7's Science Experiment

Today we did a science experiment using Balloons,Icing Sugar and a funnel. First put the neck of the balloon on the funnel. Second add a few spoonfuls of Icing Sugar into the funnel and shake it down into the balloon. Third Remove the funnel inflate the balloon and tie the neck to stop the air and Icing Sugar from escaping. Don't inhale what blowing up the balloon. Fourth go outside to your large open space.
Your helper should hold the balloon and a pin. Walk 100 large paces away from them. 5th ask your helper to hold the balloon away from thier body. Look at the balloon and signal for your helper top pop it. Watch and listen very carefully you will hear the balloon pop and see the Icing Sugar escape.
